02 Site visit
Measure and spec
After the consult we visit the property. We measure, check the subfloor and lock the product. This is when the quote becomes real.
03 Install
Our own team
The people who install your floor are employed by Evolved Floors. Most homes take one to three days once the site is ready. We give a timeframe with the confirmed quote.
Booking and quoting
What is a studio consultation?
Time in the Bundall or Byron studio with a specialist, walking full planks in real light. It is not an in-home measure and it is not a salesperson on your driveway. If you are in Brisbane, we will call you and visit the site, then you can see the floor at Bundall or Byron.
Is the approximate price a locked price?
No. The approximate price is a ballpark so you can see a range. The confirmed figure comes after a studio visit and a site visit, when we have measured the rooms and checked the subfloor.
Do you do free in-home quotes?
We do not lead with an in-home measure. Book a studio consultation at Bundall or Byron. If you are in Brisbane, we will call you and visit the site, then you can see the floor at Bundall or Byron.
Do you offer finance?
Yes. Ask when you book. We can point you to payment plans through trusted providers.

Where is the Gold Coast studio?
The public Gold Coast studio is Bundall, 3/99 Ashmore Road, Bundall QLD 4217. Hours: Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm, Saturday 9am to 1pm. Phone 1300 45 11 32.
Is Molendinar the studio?
No. Molendinar (Unit 4, 6 Enterprise St) is the trade counter only, by appointment and for collections. It is not the public studio.
Where is the Byron Bay studio?
Habitat Precinct, 1 Porter Street, Byron Bay NSW 2481. Come in to walk the boards at 1 Porter Street.
Do you have a Brisbane studio?
We do not have a Brisbane studio. If you are in Brisbane, we will call you and visit the site, then you can see the floor at Bundall or Byron.
Products
What flooring is best for Gold Coast humidity?
Hybrid (SPC or WPC) is the most straightforward waterproof spec for coastal humidity, sandy feet and holiday lets. Engineered timber can be right when the rooms and the brief support it. Solid timber is not the first call for wet areas. See the comparison guide for the full picture.
What is the difference between hybrid and vinyl?
Hybrid has a rigid core and a timber-look wear layer. Vinyl plank is typically quieter and softer underfoot, still waterproof, and a strong spec for apartments and wet areas. We will match the room, not the catalogue.
Is herringbone a type of floor?
Herringbone is a laying pattern, not a material. It can be timber, hybrid or vinyl. It needs a specialist set-out. Read the herringbone info page, not a shop category.
Do you sell laminate?
Yes, where it is the right spec. See the Gold Coast and Byron laminate info pages. We will not push laminate into a wet area that wants hybrid or vinyl.
Install
How long does installation take?
Most homes take one to three days once the site is ready. Larger or herringbone jobs take longer. We confirm the window with the quote after the site visit.
Do I need to move furniture?
Yes, rooms should be clear. We can talk through furniture removal if you need it. That is extra, and we will say so before we start.
Can you install over existing tiles?
Often, if the surface is level and stable. Hybrid and vinyl are the usual candidates. We confirm on the site visit. We will not guess from a photo.
What warranties apply?
Products carry the manufacturer warranty. We also warrant our installation. Terms vary by product. Ask when you choose the floor.
