About Evolved Floors. Family owned since 2014.
A family flooring studio for Gold Coast, Brisbane and Byron Bay homes. Our team brings decades of industry experience. Floors are chosen in studio, then installed by our own people.
Our story
Built as a studio, not a warehouse shop
Evolved Floors started in 2014. Richard still runs the business. We grew by specifying the right floor for the rooms, then laying it with Evolved Floors certified installers. That is still the job.
The public Gold Coast studio is in our Gold Coast studio, 3/99 Ashmore Road. Byron Bay is at Habitat Precinct, 1 Porter Street. If you are in Brisbane, start with a visit to our Gold Coast studio or a video consultation, and we book your site inspection once your project is shaped.
Molendinar (Unit 4, 6 Enterprise St) is the trade counter, by appointment. It is not the public studio.
How a project runs
A studio visit is time in the Gold Coast or Byron Bay with the boards. It is not an in-home measure.
01
Consult
Gold Coast and Byron: come in and see the floors. If you are in Brisbane, start with a visit to our Gold Coast studio or a video consultation, and we book your site inspection once your project is shaped. Get an approximate price first if you want a ballpark.
02
Site visit
We measure, check the subfloor and lock the spec. This is the site visit, after your studio visit.
03
Install
Our own team and Evolved Floors certified installers, all managed by us, lay the floor. One plan from studio to install, including transitions, stairs and herringbone set-out.

Why people come to us
Decades of industry experience across the team. Family owned. Evolved Floors certified installers.
Chosen in studio
See full planks on the Gold Coast or in Byron Bay. A 10cm sample on a phone cannot do that job.
Specified for the climate
Humidity, sand, storms and holiday traffic change the spec. We will tell you when hybrid belongs, and when timber, vinyl or carpet is the better room.
Certified installers
The people who install your floor are employed by Evolved Floors. One plan from studio to install.
Family owned since 2014
Richard still runs the business. Personal service, clear proposals, no warehouse run-around.
