Firstly, using your Stanley knife, cut the carpet into smaller sections as shown in the video. How many will depend on how big the room is; essentially this step is to make your carpet easier to carry and also to store in your ute/car.
The next step is to roll up the carpet. When pulling up the carpet from the wall be careful of the smooth edge (the wooden edge with spikes underneath carpet). Roll up the carpet and also underlay.
Now you need to remove the smooth edge. Using a hammer and a flat chisel/crowbar, pop up the smooth edge as shown in the video. There may be some nails that stick in the concrete. Simply use the back of the hammer to slide the hammer across and lever the nails up as shown in the video.
